Basic surveys for erosion control

Confirming on-site conditions

Torrential rain in August 2014 caused a major landslide disaster in a residential area of Hiroshima Prefecture. To assess the risk of such landslides and prevent disasters from happening, basic surveys for erosion control are being conducted across Japan, based on the “Act on Sediment Disaster Countermeasures for Sediment Disaster Prone Areas” (also known as the Sediment Disaster Prevention Law). We are also implementing this type of survey in areas throughout the country. CKC has also been involved in the planning and design of control facilities related to landslide disasters, such as check dams and slope protection. Using our extensive experience as a base, we provide support for landslide control measures, in terms of both infrastructure and services.
