As part of the Interchange, Cooperation and Business Creation Project for Nikkei Farmers of Latin America, a senior official meeting was held in Tokyo between Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture. The two sides exchanged views on topics such as stable grain supplies, strengthening trade relations, and sustainable production, discussing ways to strengthen the cooperation between Japan and Brazil.

In addition to that, a Joint Public-Private Business Mission was held at the Brazilian Embassy, where Japanese and Brazilian companies interacted with each other. On the following day the group visited a rice farm and the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization(NARO Genebank).
