The 5th Japan-Brazil Agriculture and Food Dialogue was held in São Paulo, Brazil. During the Public-Private Joint Business Seminar, topics such as stable grain supply, sustainable agricultural technologies, and strengthening of export ties between the two countries where discussed, followed by a PR reception and business matching session for Japanese agricultural, forestry, and fishery products where a new menu developed with scallops, oysters, and yellowtail were presented. Shochu, a traditional Japanese distilled spirit made from grains and vegetables, was also introduced.
The next day, the delegation visited the SFDS Port in Santa Catarina, a major Japanese retail chain, and the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA) in São Paulo.
