On March 26, Director Oji represented CKC Japan at the Japan-Brazil Economic Forum, hosted by JERTO (Japan External Trade Organization).

The forum was co-hosted by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI), and the Japan Business Federation and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry from Japan. Guests included President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva from Brazil and Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru from Japan, making it a national event involving both countries.

At the meeting, CKC Japan presented one of 84 memorandums of understanding (MOUs) signed with Brazil: the “Memorandum of Understanding on a Demonstration Project for Slope Disaster Prevention Monitoring Using IoT Tilt Sensors.”

Our company’s Global Center (former International Project Department) has been actively working to build a bridge between the two countries for over 10 years, including through the Project of Interchange, Cooperation and Business Creation for Nikkei Farmers of Latin America.
